This was my first visit to Nova Scotia and to Cape Breton. I was not prepared for the incredible beauty of the autumn colours, the rugged coastline along the Cabot Trail, or the pristine beauty of the hills and valleys through which we passed. Contrary to what tourists usually do we drove counterclockwise around the Cabot Trail. The autumn colours were spectacular! The colours were at their peak. I was totally awed by their brilliance and all the variations. The photos on these pages are a poor capturing of the beauty Cape Breton.
