What is the game?

How do we play?

Whose rules are they?

They’re mine —

   no, they’re mine

not true, they’re mine!

Play as I say, or

we don’t play at all!

Can’t I ever choose the game?

Can’t I ever set the rules?

I play others’ games

conform to their ways

agree to their plan

   and lose myself.

Who am I?

What do I like?

What do I feel?

What do I think?

I don’t know

I’ve never played my game

   never set my rules.

So, now I don’t know the game

And I don’t want to play
